Karin E. Peterson

Doctor of Physical Therapy
Karin received her undergraduate degree from the University of Delaware. She went on to earn her Master of Science in Physical Therapy (MSPT) and Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ in 2002 and 2005, respectively. Karin has an extensive background in both orthopedic and sports physical therapy, in addition to being a manually based physical therapist. She received the designation of an Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) in 2013 followed by receiving the designation of a Certified Integrated Manual Therapist (CIMT) later that year. Since 2011, Karin has also been an adjunct faculty member at Rutgers University in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
Karin started her career at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in 2002 working in the outpatient physical therapy clinic. She then worked at Somerset Hills Physical Therapy in orthopedic and sports physical therapy for ten years where she treated various orthopedic and sports related injuries.
Karin is originally from the Pittsburgh area and moved to Long Valley, NJ when she was young. Karin was a high school girls basketball and softball coach for over ten years. She ran the Boston Marathon in order to raise money for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. In addition to running, Karin enjoys playing golf, working out and spending time with family and friends.
