Physical Therapist

Rick was born and raised in New Jersey. He attended West Virginia Wesleyan College earning his degree in sports medicine and athletic training before moving to Indianapolis to work with Methodist Sports Medicine Center, the pioneers in accelerated knee rehabilitation. While in Indianapolis, he organized the medical exams for the NFL Combines, worked with the Indianapolis Colts (NFL), Indiana Firebirds (Arena Football), Indiana Blast (MLS), and Nike All-American Basketball Camp.

He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Massachusetts General Hospital’s Institute of Health Professions. Rick then moved to Scottsdale, AZ to study under the shoulder and elbow specialist, Todd Ellenbecker. While in AZ he helped the Milwaukee Brewers (MLB) during spring training.

Rick returned to New Jersey to be closer to family and worked with Somerset Hills Physical Therapy, and Atlantic Health System in both their sports clinic and at Morristown Medical Center prior to opening Physical Therapy Center of Excellence in 2015.

Physical Therapist

Jill was born and raised in New Jersey and received her bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University where she also played 4 years of division 1 soccer. She then earned her doctorate degree in physical therapy (DPT) from Mount Saint Joseph University in 2015. Following her collegiate soccer career she also played women’s rugby at the regional, state, and national level.

Her professional career started with Kessler Rehabilitation Centers where she managed a clinic and developed interests in the areas of sports and orthopedics, as well as pelvic health. Jill completed her residency program in orthopedics through Select Medical in 2018 prior to joining the team at the Physical Therapy Center of Excellence in 2019.

Jill has also focused her professional development in the area of pelvic floor dysfunction through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute. She has developed programs and hosted workshops for prenatal woman, postpartum mothers, athletes with pelvic dysfunction, and male pelvic health.

Physical Therapist

Martin attended Rutgers University for both his undergraduate and doctorate degrees. He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science (2017), and then went on to earn his Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree in 2020.

Since becoming a Physical Therapist, Martin has taken on a professional interest in the areas of orthopedics and sports. He is passionate about optimizing movement potential and he specializes in rehab and performance training with runners and tennis players. Martin has certifications as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Tennis Performance Specialist, and provides running coaching services. Martin loves working at PTCOE as it allows him to promote health and fitness in his local community.

Martin was born and raised in New Jersey. He is a first-generation Polish American who is fluent in Polish. Currently, Martin has an interest in running performance, and he designs his own training programs to discover his peak athletic ability while competing in various road races. Most notably, he ran the Boston Marathon in under 2 hours 45 minutes, and he aspires to complete all 6 Abbott World Marathon Majors. Outside of running, Martin is an avid tennis player, and he also enjoys working out, hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. LeeAnn Potochney

Physical Therapist

LeeAnn graduated from Rutgers University with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT). Prior to completing her DPT, she obtained her master’s degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education from Montclair State University and her undergraduate degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. LeeAnn also maintains her Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

With over 14 years of experience as a strength coach, she has worked with a wide variety of youth, high school, and collegiate athletes, as well as active adults and military. As a life-long athlete, LeeAnn is passionate about movement and challenging the body. Her academic and clinical experiences have led her to treat with a combination of manual therapy techniques and individualized exercise programs in order to help her patients relieve pain, improve performance, and return to their prior level of function or sport.

LeeAnn was born and raised in New Jersey, but had a brief stay in England during a study abroad program. When away from the clinic, LeeAnn stays active by weightlifting, hiking, and running, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends
